This painting features two hard-to-translate Chinese poems about orchids and a beautiful orchid flower. The poems are not just hard to translate, but they are also in "grass script" which is the Chinese equivalent of "super-cursive" so making out the characters is difficult.
Along with that, I lost track of who the artist is, and that's also hard to read in this piece. I reduced the price a bit since the artist is a mystery.
This is one of the most traditional forms of ancient Chinese art. This is what art looked like in the time before watercolor.
